The Man Behind the Music

Cole Porter (1891 - 1964) Unlike many, as a Broadway composer Porter wrote not only lyrics but music too. Unfortunately in 1937 Porter suffered a severe horseback riding incident, however he continued to work. In 1948 Cole Porter made a comeback with his most well known musical Kiss me, Kate, which won the first Tony Award for best musical. Porter’s other works include Fifty Million Frenchmen, Dubarry was a Lady, and Can-Can. Porter has many hit songs including “Night and Day”, “Well, Did ya Evah!”, and “My Heart Belongs to Daddy”.

The Last Schedule

We are 14 rehearsals away from our performance. It's go time, meaning rehearsals get longer and everyone becomes exceedingly pleasant to work with : )

It is understood the longer schedule will cause some conflicts. Actors are encouraged to communicate when & why they have such conflicts and also to attend partial rehearsals when possible. It is expected that everyone will be present for all rehearsals during the last week (Feb 27th – March 2nd).
